Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Kenyon

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team fell to Kenyon College 18-8 in non-conference action inside George Finnie Stadium. 
 
Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Hannah Stein (Medina/Highland) led BW (2-4) with three goals while junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Megan Patrick (Ravenna/Kent Roosevelt) added two goals of her own to round out the multi-goal scorers. Freshman goalkeeper Ashleigh Hildreth (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) recorded 12 saves in the loss, her second-highest save total so far this season. 
 
Sophomore midfielder Avery Morgan led Kenyon (6-2) with a game-high six goals. Junior midfielder Lucy Somers and junior attack Cassidy Hudson-Heck each added four goals apiece. 
 
Kenyon opened up the scoring at the 28:58 mark but BW was able to counter with a goal from Patrick just under two minutes later. Morgan netted two more goals in a matter of 16 seconds to give the Ladies a 3-1 lead before Stein answered with 22:35 remaining to bring the Yellow Jackets within one goal. Kenyon then used two separate 3-0 runs to build up to a 10-4 lead at the 11:00 mark. Each team scored two more goals before time expired as the Ladies held a 12-6 lead into halftime. 
 
Defense dominated the second half as each team had only scored two goals for a majority of the period. At the 7:33 mark, Kenyon then rattled off three consecutive goals in less than two minutes to take a 17-8 lead and added one final goal for the 18-8 victory. 
 
BW will conclude its three game home stand by hosting The College of Wooster on Wednesday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. inside George Finnie Stadium.
