GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team broke one school record in a 19-3 non-conference loss to Denison University inside Deeds Field-Piper Stadium.

Freshman goalkeeper Ashleigh Hildreth (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) set a single-game record with 18 saves, besting Amanda Getto's previous record of 16 saves from 2015.

Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Megan Patrick (Ravenna/Kent Roosevelt) led BW (3-5, 1-0 OAC) as the only multi-goal scorer with two goals. Senior attack Caitlin Wheeler (Lake Mills, Wis./Oak Park-River Forest {Ill.}} recorded the Yellow Jackets' only other goal.

Sophomore attack Kiely Noonan led Denison (5-2) with a game-high four goals. Sophomore attack Leander Perun and freshman attack Liza Farnham each chipped in an additional two goals.

Patrick opened up the scoring with an unassisted goal less than two minutes into the game, giving BW its lone lead of the game, before Denison went off on a 6-0 run. Wheeler netted her goal with 8:38 left in the first half to put a stop to the run but the Big Red closed out the period with four consecutive goals to lead 10-2 at halftime.

Once again, Patrick opened up the half with her second goal off a free position shot, BW's last goal for the game, while Denison scored nine more goals to seal the victory. Meanwhile, Hildreth had recorded 12 saves in the first half and continued to work toward the school record, making the record-breaking 17th save with 7:16 remaining in the game and added one more for good measure.

BW will return to Berea for a rescheduled game against The College of Wooster on Wednesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. inside George Finnie Stadium. The two teams were supposed to meet up on March 21 but the game was postponed due to field conditions.
