Three Women's Lacrosse Players Earn Academic All-OAC Accolades

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio- Three Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse student-athletes have been named to the 2018 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Junior All-OAC midfielder Hannah Stein (Medina/Highland), sophomore defender Erika Davidson (East Aurora, N.Y. /East Aurora) and junior All-OAC attack Hannah Albrechta (Uniontown/Green) were three of 41 student-athletes to be recognized.

Stein, an international business major, earns her first career Academic All-OAC honor. She carries a 3.98 GPA, is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. This year, she received an honorable mention All-OAC selection and the BW Academic Excellence Award (Highest GPA on the Team). She was third on the team with a career-high 30 goals, four assists and 34 total points. The sophomore was second the team with a career-high 50 draw controls.

Davidson, who earns her first Academic All-OAC honor, is a chemistry major who carries a 3.88 GPA. She is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. In 2018, she appeared in all 17 games and registered a season-best and career-best 23 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

Albrechta, who garners her second career Academic All-OAC selection, is a psychology and studio art double major who carries a 3.84 grade point average. She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society. This year, Albrechta was named as a honorable mention selection for the second consecutive year after scoring 19 goals and leading the squad with a career-high tying 16 assists.
