WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team continues to break school records in a dominant 21-3 Ohio Athletic Conference victory over Wilmington College on Townsend Field inside Williams Stadium.

BW (4-6, 2-0 OAC) took 52 shots against the Quakers and broke the previous school record of 49 shots against Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2014.

Senior attack Caitlin Wheeler (Lake Mills, Wis./Oak Park-River Forest {Ill.}) led BW with a game-high five goals and added two assists for seven points. Junior All-OAC attack Hannah Albrechta (Uniontown/Green) had a team-high and career-high tying eight points after a four goal and career-high tying four assist performance. Junior attack Mackenzie Moran (Carlisle, Pa.) netted a career-high three goals while sophomore midfielder Savanna Jaekle (Lockport, N.Y.), freshman defender/midfielder Christina Roskoph (Strongsville) and freshman attack Alexis O'Neill (Westlake) each chipped in two goals of their own. Sophomore midfielder Jordan Paugh (South Lyon, Mich.) scored one goal but recorded three assists for four points. Junior All-OAC midfielder Megan Patrick (Ravenna/Kent Roosevelt) added one goal and three assists of her own as well while senior midfielder Erica Eyerman (North Olmsted/Magnificat) rounds out the multiple-point scorers as she recorded her first goal and first assist of the season.

Senior midfielder Becca Petra led Wilmington (2-7, 0-2 OAC) with one goal and one assist while sophomore attack Rachel Reinhart and sophomore midfielder Rachel Brown scored the other two goals for the Quakers.

The Yellow Jacket offense got out to a hot start, ripping off shot after shot and scoring four goals in less than three minutes before Wilmington could take one shot. BW would add five more goals until the 16:19 mark when the Quakers finally netted their first goal, trailing 9-1. The Yellow Jackets finished off the half on a 6-0 run, including three goals from Albrechta, and led 15-1 at halftime.

With the running clock in effect, the offense wasn't as potent in the second half. BW scored three more goals to continue its 6-0 run from the first half. When Wilmington scored its second goal with 18:05 left in the game, both teams traded goals for just over 10 minutes until Paugh netted her first goal of the game and the final goal for the Yellow Jackets in a 21-3 win.  

BW will continue OAC action when the Yellow Jackets travel to Tiffin to take on Heidelberg University on Wednesday, April 4, at 7 p.m. inside Hoenemann Stadium.
