HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished 17th of 21 teams at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Championships hosted by Oglethorpe (Ga.) University at the Mission Inn & Resort. Due to inclement weather conditions, the NCAA Div. III Rules Committee had to reduce the field from 21 teams to 12 for the final day of the event and BW did not make the cut.

After two days of thunder delays and suspensions due to darkness, the decision was made to have an administrative cut for the fourth and final round to ensure the final round would be completed today.  Only the top 12 teams advanced to the final round.

Rhodes (Tenn.) College enters the final round as the leader with a three-day total of 948.  Defending champion University of Mary-Hardin Baylor is second with a 960. Washington (Mo.) University and Williams (Mass.) College are tied for third with a 970 each 2013 Runner-up University of Texas-Tyler rounds out the top five with a 974.

The Yellow Jackets carded rounds of 365, 372 and a low round of 352 during the third and final round on the par-72 and 5,844-yard El Campéon course.

Senior four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Miranda Cunningham (Brookville/Dayton Christian) led BW with rounds of 87, 94 and 84 for a three-round total of 265. Senior four-time All-OAC player Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) was two strokes behind Cunningham as she ended with rounds of 89, 87 and 91 for a total of 267.  Senior four-time All-OAC player Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/Darby) finished with a total of 274 after firing rounds of 94, 93 and 87.  Sophomore All-OAC selection Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/South) had rounds of 95, 98 and 90 for a three-round total of 283. Junior Jenna Andreas (Pickerington/North) rounded out the Yellow Jacket scorecard with a three-round total of 337 with rounds of 121, 107 and 109.
