BW Women Golfers Tie for Second at Denison Tourney

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team carded a final round total of 339 strokes to tie for second place of 13 teams at the two-day and 36-hole Denison University Fall Invitational Tournament at the Granville Golf Club.

BW carded a 697 team total, including a 358-stroke total yesterday, to tie for second with Ohio Wesleyan University. Today's round was a 19-stroke improvement. This was the second of four fall tournaments for the Yellow Jacket linksters.

The Yellow Jackets were led by two-time All-OAC senior Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/Darby) who carded 18-hole rounds of 84 and 83 for a 36-hole total of 167 strokes to place on the par-71 and 5,813-yard Granville G.C. layout.

She was followed by two-time All-OAC senior Emilee Woolf (Ravenna), who had rounds of 87 and a team-low-tying 83 for a 170-stroke total; senior three-time All-OAC senior Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/Dayton Christian), who had rounds of 91 and 85 for a 176 total; sophomore Laura Vidmar (Willoughby /South), who had rounds of 96 and 88 for a 184 total; and freshman Olivia Pacheco (Canfield) who had rounds of 112 and 108 for a 220 total.

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22 when they travel to Wooster, Ohio to compete at The College of Wooster Invitational Tournament.
