BW Women’s Golf Team Receiving Votes in National Poll

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team, winners of two of the past three Ohio Athletic Conference titles and berths in two of the last three NCAA Division III national tournaments, ended the 2013 fall season receiving votes in the Golf World/ WGCA Division III National Coaches poll.

The Yellow Jackets had a strong fall four invitational season as they won the College of Wooster Invitational and tied for second at the Denion Invitational.

Leading the way was senior three-time All-OAC player Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) with an 84.63 stroke average. She was followed by senior three-time All-OAC player Miranda Cunningham (Brookville/Dayton Christian) and senior three-time All-OAC player Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/Darby) each at 86.5.  Cunningham also earned medalist honors at the Wooster Fall Invitational, which was the second medalist honor in her career. Sophomore Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/South) had a 93.0 average and freshman Olivia Pacheco (Canfield)  finished the fall with a 107.5.

The women's golf season is split into a fall (four tournaments) and spring (six tournaments, including the OAC Championship) season.  The winner of the OAC Tournament automatically qualifies for the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament. BW resumes its schedule on its annual spring break trip in March.
