Two Baldwin Wallace University Basketball Players Earn Post Season OAC Awards

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior guard Amanda Schroeder (Columbus Grove) is the 2011 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Helen Ludwig Player of the Year.

Schroeder, a three-time first-team All-OAC player as well as an Academic All-OAC selection in 2009-10, led the Yellow Jackets in scoring at 15.1 points-per-game, steals with 37, blocked shots with 20, field goal shooting at 53.7 percent on 138-of-257 attempts, three-point shooting at 48.1% on 25-of-52 attempts and free throw shooting at 84.3% on 91-of-108 attempts.  She was second with 6.1 rebounds-per-game and third with 32 assists. Schroeder's 1,374 career points ranks third all-time in BW history.

Schroeder was joined on the women's All-OAC team by sophmore guard Jessica Carpenter (North Canton/ Hoover), who earned second-team honors. She finished second in scoring at 9.3 ppg. and with 47 assists and 32 steals. Carpenter led BW with 27 treys.
