Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Competes at Home Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet

BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team competed in its unscored home Harrison Dillard Twilight meet, hosted inside George Finnie Stadium. 

Senior distance runner Andrew Krupp (Ottawa Hills) broke 15 minutes in the 5,000-meter run for the first time in his career, taking third in a career-best 14:54.28. Freshman sprinter Marcus Price (North Ridgeville) posted a couple of career-best times in his three events on the day. The freshman first ran a career-best 11.38 seconds in the 100-meter dash preliminaries to place 10th overall. Price then finished fourth in the 400-meter dash in 52.37 seconds and concluded his afternoon with a career-best 22.77 seconds to place sixth in the 200-meter dash. Sophomore hurdler ShaDaryll Clark (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) recorded a time of 15.18 seconds in the 110-meter hurdle preliminaries, which was the sixth-fastest time overall.

In the 800-meter run, junior distance runner David Prather (Hardin, Mont.) finished ninth in 1:57.54 while freshman distance runner Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg/Benedictine) placed 16th in the same event in 2:05.69. Stanley also finished 11th in the 1,500-meter run in a career-best time of 4:20.65. Senior distance runner Jose Reynoso (Painesville/Harvey) placed eighth in the 5,000-meter run in a season-best time of 15:28.95.

Out in the field, junior thrower Jake Mantle (North Royalton) finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 40 feet, 11.75 inches. Freshman thrower Joe Barnes (West Plains, Mo.) also finished fifth in his own event with a toss of 131'1" in the javelin throw. 

BW will next compete on Wednesday, May 19, at the University of Mount Union Ohio Athletic Conference Last Chance, hosted inside Mount Union Stadium.
