Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Competes at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team competed in an unscored meet at the University of Mount Union inside Mount Union Stadium. 

Sophomore hurdler ShaDaryll Clark (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdle finals in a time of 15.94 seconds after posting the sixth-fastest time of 16.26 seconds in the preliminaries. Freshman sprinter Marcus Price (North Ridgeville) shaved almost one full second off his 400-meter dash time as he crossed the finish line in 52.35 seconds to place 10th.

The team of freshman sprinter Mason Birkbeck (Wadsworth), Price, freshman sprinter Desmond Manley (Akron/St. Vincent-St. Mary) and Clark combined for a runner-up finish in the 4x100-meter relay in 44.72 seconds. Additionally, Clark, junior distance runner David Prather (Hardin, Mont.), freshman distance runner Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg/Benedictine) and Price placed fourth in the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 3:49.25. 

In the field, junior thrower Jeremy Coad (Dublin/Jerome) placed fourth in the javelin throw with a career-best toss of 114 feet, 9 inches. Clark and freshman jumper Kai Yee (Berea/Berea-Midpark) both cleared a height of 5'10.75" in the high jump as Clark placed sixth and Yee placed seventh overall. 

BW will host the 51st Sparky Adams Invitational for its first meet of the outdoor season on Friday, April 2, beginning at 10:30 a.m. inside George Finnie Stadium.
