Men’s Indoor Track and Field Finishes Third at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team finished third in a meet hosted by the University of Mount Union inside the Peterson Field House. 

BW placed third of three teams with 29 total points. Host Mount Union won the meet with 143 points. 

Freshman sprinter Desmond Manley (Akron/St. Vincent-St. Mary) continues to shine in the 400-meter dash, winning the event in 54.09 seconds, while fellow freshman sprinter Marcus Price (North Ridgeville) was the runner-up in 55.32 seconds. Sophomore hurdler ShaDaryll Clark (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) turned in a season-best time of 8.71 seconds as the runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles. 

In the field, junior thrower Jake Mantle (North Royalton) led the way with a fifth-place finish in the weight throw when his longest toss traveled 45 feet, 9 inches. He also notched a throw of 41'0.5" to place sixth in the shot put. 

The BW men will conclude the indoor season at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, March 6, hosted by Otterbein University inside the Clements Recreation Center.
