Men's Indoor Track and Field Team Competes at Hillsdale College Classic

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the unscored two-day Hillsdale College Wide Classic in the Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center.

BW was led by sophomore All-American sprinter Jordan Leverette (Cleveland/John Adams) as he finished fourth in the 200-meter championship race and sixth in the 400-meter championship race. Leverette recorded a season-best time of 22.22 seconds in the 200-meter and finished the 400-meter in 50.05 seconds.

The Yellow Jackets had a lot of success in the distance running events. Junior Evan Milovich (Westlake) placed second in the 3,000 meter run with a career-best time of 8:58.78. Junior Brady Jeffers (South Amherst/Firelands) placed third in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 2:01.75. Freshman Issac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./North Clarion) finished fourth in the 5,000-meter with a career-best mark of 16:06.31. Sophomore Spencer Mahon (North Royalton) placed 10th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:47.22.

In field events, junior thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) finished fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 56 feet 11.5 inches and Cody Smith (Port Clinton) placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 51'11.25''.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, February 10 when they host the annual Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Field House. Field events begin at 4 p.m. and running events start at 5 p.m.
