Women’s Tennis Falls to Cross-town Rival John Carroll

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis fell to cross-town rival and defending Ohio Athletic Conference Champion John Carroll University by a final score of 9-0 at the Ursuline College Tennis Courts. 

John Carroll (7-9, 3-0 OAC) won all three doubles matches to lead 3-0.  BW (4-8, 0-2 OAC) had its closest match as the tandem of sophomore All-OAC player Imani Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) and freshman Liz Radkiewicz (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) dropped the closest match for the Yellow Jackets as the duo dropped a hard-fought match at first singles by a score of 8-4.

The Blue Streaks swept singles action to secure the win.  Freshman Emily Dahnert (Charlottesville, Va. / The Covenant School) had the closest match as she lost a three-set marathon at 5-7, 7-6 (7-0 tiebreaker) and 8-10.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, April 7 when they host a rescheduled OAC match against the University of Mount Union at 3:30 p.m.
