Women’s Tennis Falls to Oberlin in Spring Opener

OBERLIN, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule by falling to Oberlin College by a final score of 9-0 inside the Heisman Fieldhouse.

Oberlin (1-3) opened the match by winning all three doubles matches.  BW's(1-2) number one tandem of sophomore All-OAC player Imani Robinson (Cincinnati /School for Creative & Performing Arts) and freshman Liz Radkiewicz (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) had the closest match dropping first doubles by a count of 8-3.

The Yeowomen claimed all six singles matches to secure their first victory of the season.  Robinson and Radkiewicz fought hard in their matches as she each dropped both of their sets by identical scores of 6-2 and 6-3 at first and third singles.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, March 5 when they take on Bridgewater (Va.) College in the first match of their annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina.  BW will also face NAIA Spring Arbor (Mich.) University, Lebanon Valley (Pa.) College, Roanoke (Va.) College and Nebraska Wesleyan University during the trip.
