GRANVILLE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team fell to Denison University by a final score of 9-0 on the Denison Tennis Courts.
Denison (8-10) won all three doubles matches against BW (6-11). The second doubles team of senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Claire Watts (Medina/Highland) and freshman Emily Dahnert (Charlottesville, Va. /The Covenant School) along with third doubles team of juniors Kelly Peskura (Strongsville) and Shannon Finkenthal (Beachwood) each fell by a score of 8-3.
The Big Red won all six singles matches to secure the win. All of the singles matches were played to a pro set score. Finkenthal had the closest match at sixth singles as she fell by a score of 8-4.
BW is back in action on Saturday, April 22 when they host an OAC and Seniors' and Parents' Day match against Capital University on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 11 a.m.
