Women’s Tennis Falls to NCAA Division II Notre Dame College

BEREA, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team closed out the home portion of its schedule as it fell to NCAA Division II Notre Dame College in its non-conference finale by a final score of 6-3 on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts. 

BW (7-12) won two of three doubles matches against Notre Dame (5-6). Junior Kelly Peskura (Strongsville) and freshman Emily Dahnert (Charlottesville, Va. /The Covenant School) rallied from down 5-2 to win at second doubles by a score of 8-6.   Junior Kayla Eeg (Waterford, Pa. /General McLane) and sophomore Kathleen Moser (Strongsville) took third doubles by a score of 8-6. 

The Falcons won five of six singles matches to secure the win. Moser earned the victory at fifth singles by identical scores of 6-2.   

The Yellow Jackets close out the regular season portion of their schedule on Saturday, April 29 when they travel to New Concord for an OAC match against Muskingum University on the Muskie Courts at 1 p.m.

The OAC Tournament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 2 with quarterfinal matches contested on the campuses of the highest four seeded teams.   The winner of the quarterfinal matches will advance to the semifinals on Friday, May 5 at the Linder Family Tennis Center in Mason.   The OAC Championship will be played on Saturday, May 6.
