Leverette Earns First Career OAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Honor

 BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-American sprinter Jordan Leverette (Cleveland/John Adams) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career after a strong performance at the two-day Hillsdale (Mich.) College Wide Track Classic.

This past weekend, Leverette finished fourth in the 200-meter championship race with a season-best time of 22.22 seconds. In the 400-meter dash he earned a sixth place finish with a time of 50.05.

Leverette earned All-America honors a year ago when he set a school-record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.96 seconds at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. In addition, he holds the school-record in the in the 400-meter dash and was a member of the of the 4x400-meter relay team that set the school-record a season ago.

BW is back in action on Friday, February 10 when it hosts the annual Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Field House. Field events begin at 4 p.m. and running events start at 5 p.m.
