GENEVEA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field junior All-OAC thrower Cody Smith (Port Clinton) competed on day two of the NCAA Division III National Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union at the Spire Institute. 

Smith, who made his first appearance at the outdoor national meet, finished third in his heat and 10th overall with a mark of 52 feet 10 inches.  He came into the meet ranked 16th in the country with a season-best mark of 53' 3.5''.

The NCAA Division III National Championships continue on Saturday, May 26 at the Spire Institute with the men's triple jump and women's hammer throw beginning at 10:30 a.m.
