Men's Indoor Track and Field Team Finishes Ninth at OAC Championships

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team finished ninth at the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.

The Yellow Jackets placed ninth of 10 teams with 23 points. The University of Mount Union won its fifth straight title with 231.5 points.

BW was led by junior thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) who placed sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 53'11'.  In the running events, junior distance runner Brady Jeffers (South Amherst/Firelands) was seventh in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:32.19.

In relay action, the 4x200-meter unit of freshman Kris Hart (Van Wert), sophomore Brandon Cole (Vermilion), freshman Jesse Kucewicz (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster Central) and junior Vee Sealey (Painesville/Harvey) took fifth in a time of 1:33.64.

The Yellow Jackets is back in action on Friday and Saturday, March 3-4 when it travels to Ada for the Polar Bear Last Chance Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University in the ONU Sports Center.  The NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by North Central (Ill.) College will be contested on Friday and Saturday, March 10-11 on the Al B. Carius Track in Naperville.
