Men's Indoor Track and Field Competes at Raider Tune Up

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Raider Tune Up hosted by the University of Mount Union inside the McPhearson Academic and Athletic Complex.

The men were led by junior thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) as he finished first in weight throw and fourth in the shot put. Dysert recorded a throw of 54 feet 7.25 inches in the weight and a career-best throw of 47'11'' in the shot.  

Along with Dysert, junior thrower Cody Smith (Port Clinton) placed second in the shot put with a throw of 50'4'' and freshman thrower Carson Kinney (Greenwich/South Central) finished fifth in the weight throw with a career-best throw of 51'7''.

In the running events, sophomore sprinter Brandon Cole (Vermilion) placed third and Vee Sealey (Painesville/Harvey) finished fifth in the 400-meter dash. Cole had a career-best time of 52.75 seconds and Sealey finished in 53.27 seconds.  Cole also earned a seventh place finish in the 200-meter dash with a career-best time of 23.56 seconds.  Freshman sprinter Kris Hart (Van Wert) earned a fourth place finish in the 60-meter dash with a career-best finish of 7.24 seconds. Freshman distance runner Issac Wilson (Tylersburg, Pa./Clarion) finished sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a career-best time of 9:23.2 and sophomore distance runner Spencer Mahon (North Royalton) placed seventh in the 5,000-meter run with a career-best time of 16:34.64.

BW is back in action on Friday and Saturday February 24 and 25 when it hosts the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center. Action begin on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. For more information go to http://bit.ly/2lZeY9L
