Six Men's Soccer Student-Athletes Earn All-OAC Accolade

UNIONTOWN, Ohio -- 
Six Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2016 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. 

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and maintain varsity status.

Senior midfielder Bruck Gezahegn (Washington, D.C./Wilson), senior defender Adam Grove(Indianapolis, Ind. /North Central), junior midfielder Justin Herrin (Santee, Calif. /West Hills), sophomore forward Jeremy Foust (Strongsville), sophomore goalkeeper Brian Haviland (Grasonville, Md. /Kent Island) and sophomore defender Joey Rini (Vermilion) are six of the 28 fall student-athletes to be recognized. 

Gezahegn, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is a biology major that carries a 3.97 grade point average.

Grove, who garners his third straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is a biology major that carries a 3.69 grade point average.  He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society.  Grove has appeared in 66 career games with one goal and one assist for three points.

Herrin, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is a sport management major that carries a 3.62 grade point average.  He is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a student assistant in the athletic communications office.  Herrin has appeared in 24 career games with one goal and three assists for five points. 

Foust, who garners his first Academic All-OAC accolade, is a mathematics major that carries a 3.88 grade point average.  He is a Dean's List student.  Foust has appeared in 37 career games with one assist.

Haviland, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor, is a pre-engineering major that carries a 3.762 grade point average.  He is a student assistant in the athletic communications office. Haviland has appeared in three games and has allowed five goals and made 13 saves.

Rini, who garners his first Academic All-OAC accolade, is a film studies major that carries a 3.72 grade point average.  He is a Dean's List student and a member of the BW Honors program.   Rini has appeared in 15 games with one goal for two points.
