UNIONTOWN, Ohio— Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer freshman forward Danny Ruple (Berea/Berea-Midpark) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Freshman Player-of-the-Year and was tabbed as a second-team selection.

Ruple led the team and was tied for eighth in the OAC with eight goals.  He was the team leader and ranked tied for fourth in the OAC with 22 total points.   Ruple was tied for the team lead and ranked tied for fourth in the league with six assists.  During conference play, he tallied a team-high and was tied for sixth in the OAC with 10 points.  Ruple scored a career-high two goals in the 3-1 victory against the University of Mount Union and dished out a career-best two assists in a 5-0 defeat of Defiance College. He had a career-high tying four points in each of those games.

BW finished the year with an overall record of 6-13 and an OAC mark of 3-6.
