BEREA, Ohio –Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse sophomore goalkeeper Mike Dizonno (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second-time in his career.
Dizonno led the Yellow Jackets to a 13-4 victory over Washington & Jefferson College in the season opener. He made seven saves and only allowed one goal in 53 minutes of play.
In his career, Dizonno has a record of 13-3, played over 800 minutes, and made 104 saves in just two seasons. As a freshman, he was named an All-OAC honorable mention.
BW is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to square off against LaRoche (Pa.) College on the Lacrosse Field inside the Kerr Fitness and Sports Center at 4 p.m.
