Today's Game --  BW closes out the 2016 season as it host an Ohio Athletic Conference game against Ohio Northern University on Seniors' and Parents' Day.

Series Notes --  BW and Ohio Northern have met 41 times on the gridiron.  The Yellow Jackets hold a 28-12-1 all-time series lead. BW has won the three of the last four meetings.  The last Polar Bear win came during the 2014 in Ada by a final score of 37-35 victory.

Last Meeting --  The last time BW and Ohio Northern met on September 19, 2015, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Polar Bears by a final score of 28-27. Ohio Northern outgained BW 400-338 in total yards. The Polar Bears held a 246-199 advantage on the ground and a 154-139 edge through the air.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week nine of the season, BW scored 27 points on 230 yards passing, 181 yards rushing and 411 total yards. Heidelberg scored 37 points on 257 passing yards, 140 rushing yards and 397 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, BW sophomore quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 103 of 173 passes for 1,192 yards with six TDs.  Hudson also leads the team in rushing with 628 yards on 114 carries with five TDs. Junior running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) is second in rushing with 610 yards on 150 carries with 14 TDs. Senior wideout Mike Waggoner (Elyria) leads the receiving corps with 22 catches for 304 yards.

Defensively, junior linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sand Valley) leads the team with 85 tackles and has two interceptions, two pass breakups, one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.   Junior strong safety Trypp Washington (Orlando, Fla./First Academy) is second with 56 tackles and leads the team with three interceptions. Senior linebacker Brian Stepp (North Royalton) is third with 54 stops. 

Scouting The Polar Bears
In week nine of the season, Ohio Northern scored 80 points on 307 passing yards, 181 yards rushing and 488 total yards. Wilmington scored 3 points on 137 rushing yards, 89 yards passing and 226 total yards. 

Polar Bear Statistical Leaders
Offensively, Ohio Northern sophomore quarterback Will Freed has completed 175 of 293 passes for 2,817 yards with 21 TDs.  Freshman running back Christiaan Williams leads the rushing attack with 1,038 yards on 172 carriers with 11 TDs.  Senior wide out Reed Allen tops the receiving corps with 39 catches for 578 yards with five TDs.

Defensively, junior linebacker Zach Schmerge leads the team with 83 tackles, three sacks and is tied for team lead with three forced fumbles.  Senior defensive back Dan Eller is second on the squad with 80 stops and leads the team with two interceptions.  Junior defensive back Jason Lucas is third with 61 tackles.
