Tonight's Game --  BW hosts defending NCAA Division III Champion and number one nationally-ranked Mount Union on Family and Community Night as well as Professor Appreciation Night.

Series Notes --  BW and Mount Union have met 54 times on the gridiron. The Purple Raiders lead the all-time series 32-21-1, inlcuding winning the last 21 contests.  Last season, Mount Union beat the Yellow Jackets, 42-0, in Alliance. The last BW win came in 1994 when it beat the Purple Raiders, 23-10, in Alliance.  The series began in 1896 with a Yellow Jacket 10-0 victory in Alliance.   

Last Meeting --  The last time BW and Mount Union met on November 7, 2015, the Purple Raiders defeated the Yellow Jackets by a final score of 42-0. Mount Union outgained BW 468-148 in total yards.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week two of the season, BW scored 10 points on 104 rushing yards, 28 passing yards and 132 total yards. John Carroll scored 17 points on 244 rushing yards, 82 rushing yards and 326 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, BW senior quarterback Robbie Plagens (Rocky River) has completed 15 of 36 passes for 218 yards and one TD.  Junior running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) leads the rushing attack with 157 yards on 46 attempts with four TDs.  Senior wide receiver Mike Waggoner (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) tops the receiving corps with three receptions for 47 yards. Sophomore wideout Da'Juan Glover (Elyria) also has three catches for 44 yards and one TD.

Defensively, junior linebacker Sam Groff(Waynesburg/Sand Valley) leads the team with 17 tackles. Junior linebacker Sean Nischwitz (Clinton/Green) is second with 16 stops. Senior linebacker Brian Stepp (North Royalton) is third with 14 tackles.

Scouting The Purple Raiders
In week two of the season, Mount Union scored 50 points on 419 rushing yards, 160 passing yards and 579 total yards. Marietta was held scoreless on 155 passing yards, 65 rushing yards and 220 total yards. 

Purple Raider Statistical Leaders
Offensively, Mount Union freshmen quarterbacks D'Angelo Fulford and Luke Poorman lead the air attack.  Fulford has completed 16 of 23 passes for 235 yards and four TDs while Poorman has completed 14 of 19 passes for 191 yards and one TD.  Senior running back Bradley Mitchell leads the ground attack with 266 yards on 26 carries with four TDs.  Senior wide receiver Jordan Hargrove tops the receiving corps with 10 catches for 178 yards and one TD.

Defensively, senior linebacker Charlie Dear and junior defensive lineman Adam Mihoci lead the team with nine tackles apiece.
