Today's Game --  BW will play its first afternoon game of the 2016 season when it travels to Marietta for an Ohuio Athletic Conference contest against Marietta College.

Series Notes --  BW and Marietta have met 38 times on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 33-5 all-time series lead, including 10 straight victories. The series began in 1974 with BW defeating the Pioneers, 73-0, in Berea.  A year ago, BW shut out Marietta, 38-0, in Berea. The last Marietta win came in 2006 when it beat BW, 37-31 in overtime, in Marietta. 

Last Meeting --  The last time BW and Marietta met on October 10, 2015, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Pioneers by a final score of 38-0. BW outgained Marietta 414-213 in total yards, including holding a 254-103 advatnage through the air.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week three of the season, BW scored seven points on 198 yards passing, minus 10 yards rushing and 188 total yards. Mount Union scored 49 points on 374 rushing yards, 131 passing yards and 505 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, BW senior quarterback Robbie Plagens (Rocky River) has completed 24 of 50 passes for 339 yards and two TDs.  Junior running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) leads the rushing attack with 173 yards on 54 attempts with four TDs. Sophomore wideout Da'Juan Glover (Elyria) leads the receiving corps with five catches for 56 yards and one TD.

Defensively, junior linebacker Sam Groff(Waynesburg/Sand Valley) leads the team with 29 tackles and has added two pass breakups and an interception. Senior linebacker Brian Stepp (North Royalton) is second with 28 stops and has one pass break up.  Junior strong safety Trypp Washington (Orlando, Fla./First Academy) is third with 20 tackles and has one interception.

Scouting The Pioneers
In week three of the season, Marietta scored 10 points on 130 rushing yards, 111 passing yards and 241 total yards. Muskingum scored 28 points on 198 rushing yards, 118 passing yards and 316 total yards. 

Pioneer Statistical Leaders
Offensively, Marietta sophomore quarterback Darrien Fields has completed 37 of 73 passes for 378 yards.  Junior running back Nick O'Neal leads the ground attack with 146 yards on 37 carries with three TDs.  Senior tight end Nick Hineman tops the receiving corps with 16 catches for 167 yards.

Defensively, senior defensive lineman Cody Walker and sophomore defensive backs Jakkar Bishop and Corey Hunsberger top the team with 20 tackles apiece.
