Today's Game --  BW closes out the road portion of its schedule when it travels to Tiffin for  an OAC game against  Heidelberg University.   

Series Notes --  BW and Capital have met 69 times on the gridiron.  The Yellow Jackets hold a 47-22 all-time series lead. BW has played Heidelberg more than any other opponent in football. The series began in 1897 with the Yellow Jackets defeating the Student Princes, 10-0, in Berea.  The last Heidelberg win was a 52-20 triumph in Tiffin two years ago. 

Last Meeting --  The last time BW and Capital met on November 14, 2015, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Student Princes by a final score of 44-31. Heidelberg outgained BW 608-5466 in total yards. The Student Princes held a 342-326 advantage throught the air and a 266-220 edge on the ground.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week eight of the season, BW scored 41 points on 290 yards rushing, 195 yards passing and 485 total yards. Capital scored 42 points on 225 passing yards, 198 rushing yards and 423 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, BW sophomore quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 86 of 145 passes for 962 yards with five TDs.  Hudson also leads the team in rushing with 557 yards on 88 carries with four TDs. Junior running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) is second in rushing with 498 yards on 131 carries with 12 TDs. Senior wideout Mike Waggoner (Elyria) leads the receiving corps with 18 catches for 237 yards.

Defensively, junior linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sand Valley) leads the team with 76 tackles and is tied for team second with two interceptions.  Senior linebacker Brian Stepp (North Royalton) is second with 54 stops.  Junior strong safety Trypp Washington (Orlando, Fla./First Academy) is third with 49 tackles and leads the team with three interceptions.

Scouting The Student Princes
In week eight of the season, Heidelberg scored 59 points on 408 rushing yards, 194 yards passing and 602 total yards. Wilmington scored 3 points on 129 passing yards, 56 rushing yards and 185 total yards. 

Student Prince Statistical Leaders
Offensively, Heidelberg junior quarterback Tyler Stoyle has completed 164 of 288 passes for 1,833 yards with 20 TDs.  Senior running back Bryan Lacey leads the rushing attack with 799 yards on 124 carriers with nine TDs.  Junior wide out Demetrius Magee tops the receiving corps with 40 catches for 478 yards with nine TDs.

Defensively, junior defensive lineman Austin Crow tops the squad with 65 tackles and 8.5 sacks. Junior defensive back Jarett Wasson and sophomore linebacker Trevor Summers are tied for second with 42 stops apiece.
