Today's Game --  BW returns to the road for one of its final two away contests as it travels to Bexley for  an OAC game against  Capital University.   The Yellow Jackets will look to get back on the winning path.

Series Notes --  BW and Capital have met 46 times on the gridiron.  The Yellow Jackets hold a 36-10 series lead, including four straight wins. The series began in 1928 when the Crusaders defeated BW, 19-0, in Bexley. The Yellow Jackets won the last meeting in Bexley, 48-14, during the 2014 campaign. Capital last beat BW, 14-11, in 2011. 

Last Meeting --  The last time BW and Capital met on October 31, 2015, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Crusaders by a final score of 56-20. BW outgained Otterbein 568-366 in total yards. The Yellow Jackets held a 383-215 advantage on the ground.

Scouting The Yellow Jackets
In week seven of the season, BW scored 30 points on 224 yards passing, 174 yards rushing and 398 total yards. Otterbein scored 33 points on 229 passing yards, 179 rushing yards and 408 total yards. 

Yellow Jacket Statistical Leaders
Offensively, BW sophomore quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 73 of 126 passes for 767 yards with five TDs.  Hudson also leads the team in rushing with 400 yards on 67 carries with two TDs. Junior running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) is second in rushing with 392 yards on 103 carries with nine TDs. Senior wideout Mike Waggoner (Elyria) leads the receiving corps with 16 catches for 191 yards.

Defensively, junior linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sand Valley) leads the team with 65 tackles and is tied for team lead with two interceptions.  Senior linebacker Brian Stepp (North Royalton) is second with 54 stops.  Junior strong safety Trypp Washington (Orlando, Fla./First Academy) is third with 41 tackles and is tied for team lead with two interceptions.

Scouting The Crusaders
In week six of the season, Capital was held scoreless on 126 passing yards, 45 yards rushing and 171 total yards. No. 23 John Carroll scored 56 points on 297 rushing yards, 210 passing yards and 507 total yards. 

Crusader Statistical Leaders
Offensively, Capital sophomore quarterback Thomas Wibbeler has completed 114 of 214 passes for 1,556 yards with 11 TDs.  Junior running back Cory Heeter leads the rushing attack with 359 yards on 103 carriers with seven TDs.  Freshman wide out David Barnett tops the receiving corps with 39 catches for 637 yards with eight TDs.

Defensively, sophomore defensive back J.R. Garrigo tops the squad with 61 tackles.  Junior linebacker Derrek Elbon is second with 54 stops.  Sophomore linebacker Kane Murray is third with 52 tackles.
