Women's Tennis Drops OAC Match to Otterbein

MEDINA, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team dropped its second straight Ohio Athletic Conference match as it fell to Otterbein University by a fional score of 8-1 at the Paramount Tennis Club. 

BW (2-2, 2-2 OAC) got its only point of the match as the duo of senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and freshman Gabriela Heideman (Doylestown/Wadsworth) earned the No. 1 doubles victory with a score of 8-7 (7-4 in the tiebreaker).

Otterbein (3-1, 3-1 OAC) closed out the match by winning all six singles.  Heideman sent the No. 2 match to three sets but ultimately fell 1-6, 6-2, 6-2.  Senior Academic All-OAC selection Emma Hubbard (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon High School) came up short at No. 6 singles with scores of 6-3 and 7-5.

The Yellow Jackets returns to action on Saturday, April 24, when they travel to Marietta for an OAC match against Marietta College at 1 p.m.
