Women’s Tennis Suffers First Loss of the Season to Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team fell to Ohio Northern University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by final score of 6-3 on the Ohio Northern University Tennis Courts. 

BW (2-1, 2-1 OAC) trailed 2-2 after doubles play. Senior Academic All-OAC performer Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and freshman Gabriela Heideman (Doylestown/Wadsworth) secured the victory at No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-7 (11-9). 

The Yellow Jackets won two of six singles matches against Ohio Northern (6-0, 4-0 OAC). Morris captured the No. 1 singles with scores of 6-3, 6-4. Heideman took second singles by scores of of 6-3, 6-0. 

BW returns to action on Saturday, April 17 when it hosts Otterbein University in an OAC match on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 1:00 p.m.
