BW Women’s Tennis Team Wins 9-0 at Capital

BEXLEY, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Capital University, 9-0, today in its 2014 OAC opener on the Capital Courts.
 
The Yellow Jackets, now 5-8 overall, led 3-0 after doubles play as the number one tandem of senior Morgan Baker (Vermilion /Elyria Catholic) and sophomore Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) won by a score of 8-1. In second doubles, sophomores Mackenzi Baker (Vermilion /Elyria Catholic) and Mackenzie Donaldson (Hilliard /Davidson) won with a score of 8-4. In third doubles, freshman Claire Watts (Medina) and senior Whitney Yoder (Medina) won, 8-5.

In singles action, Blatt won at Noi.1 with scores of 6-0 and 6-4. In second singles, Morgan Baker won with scores of 6-2 and 6-3. In third singles, Watts won, 6-3 and 6-2. In fourth singles, Donaldson won with scores of 6-2 and 6-1. In fifth singles, Mackenzi Baker won by scores of 6-0 and 6-1. In sixth singles,  Yoder won with scores of  6-0 and 6-0.  

BW plays its first home match on Saturday, March 29 when it hosts OAC-rival Marietta College at the "Pop" Collins Courts in Berea at 1:00 p.m.
