BW Women’s Tennis Team Loses to Allegheny (Pa.)

MEADVILLE, PA. -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team lost to host Allegheny College, 9-0, today in its first of two matches at the Nancy J. Heath Memorial Tournament. The Yellow Jackets also play NCAA Division II Clarion (Pa.) University at 1:30 p.m. in the consolation match.

With its loss, BW is 0-1 this fall and Allegheny is 1-0.

The Gators took a 3-0 lead after doubles play, and won all six singles matches.

In singles play, senior number two player Morgan Baker (Vermilion /Elyria Catholic) fell to Sun Mo Koo of Allegheny by a score of 6-1 and 6-4.

BW will next play at the Oberlin College Invitational from Sept. 13-15 and end its fall season at the annual ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Central Region Tournament at DePauw (Ind.) University from Sept. 20-22.
