UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team fell 19-1 to crosstown rival John Carroll University in an Ohio Athletic Conference game inside Don Shula Stadium.

John Carroll got off to a fast start in the game scoring four goals in the first two minutes with the last goal coming by All-OAC junior midfielder Emma Workman. The Yellow Jacket offense was able to get going as sophomore midfielder Sophia Leuma (Bloomington, Minn/Thomas Jefferson) took the first shot of the evening which went wide. The Blue Streaks offense kept firing while the defense held strong. They increased their run to 10-0 when Workman scored with 11:34 remaining in the half. DeBevoise got BW on the board with a nifty behind the back goal. The John Carroll offense kept the pressure on as they tacked on two more goals before the buzzer sounded.

The Blue Streaks offense started right where they left off, when sophomore attacker Olivia Gerlach scored with 26:55 remaining in the second half. John Carroll continued their run adding six more goals in the game. DeBevoise had the only shot on goal for the Yellow Jackets in the second half.
