Women’s Golf  Finishes Seventh at OAC Fall Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished seventh at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.

BW was seventh of eight teams with a two-day total of 746 on the 5,810 River Greens layout.  Ohio Northern University was the champion with 676 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) fired rounds of 93 and 84 for an invitational total of 177. Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) carded rounds of 93 and 90 for a two-round total of 183. Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic golfer Emily Hunt (Marysville) as she posted rounds of 96 and 88 for a two-day total of 184. Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Aubrey Baumler (Huron) tallied rounds of 114 and 109 for a total of 223. Rounding out the top five was senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC golfer Anna Schatschneider (Avon) as she had a round of 93 but withdrew after the first round due to an injury.

Playing as individuals were senior Hannah Durst (Madison), sophomores Mary Fraley (Cleveland/Mayfield) and freshman Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk/St. Paul).  Durst led the individuals as she carded rounds of 105 and 112 for a two-round total of 217.  Olak posted rounds of 135 and 131 for a two-day total of 266.  Fraley had rounds of 137 and 133 for a total of 270.

BW closes out the fall portion of its schedule on October 5-6 when it travels to Wooster to compete in the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational hosted by the College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club.
