Women’s Golf Places Fourth at John Carroll Fall Invitational

HUDSON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed fourth at the John Carroll University Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson.

BW was fourth of five teams with a two-day total of 705 on the 6,440 Hudson layout.  NCAA Division II Malone University was the champion with 658 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC golfer Anna Schatschneider (Avon), who is this week's OAC Women's Golfer of the Week, finished fifth of 29 golfers with rounds of 80 and 83 for an invitational total of 163.  Sophomore Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) carded rounds of 90 and 88 for a two-day total of 178. Junior Academic All-OAC golfer Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) posted rounds of 92 and 89 for a two-round total of 181. Senior Academic All-OAC golfer Emily Hunt (Marysville) fired a career-low round of 84 and then a 99 for an invitational-total of 183.    Rounding out the top five was junior Academic All-OAC golfer Aubrey Baumler (Huron) as she had rounds of 104 and a career-low tying 99 for a total of 203. 

Playing as individuals were senior Hannah Durst (Madison) and sophomore Mary Fraley (Cleveland/Mayfield)

Durst led the individuals as she carded rounds of 111 and 102 for a total of 213.   Fraley tallied rounds of 127 and 128 for a total of 255.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday and Monday, September 22-23 when it travels to Meadville, Pennsylvania to compete in the Allegheny (Pa.) College Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Meadville.
