Schatschneider is Medalist on Career-Low, Women’s Golf Places Third at Mount Union Fall Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC player Anna Schatschneider (Avon) fired a career-low round of 78 to become the medalist as the Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed third at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

BW was third of eight teams with 347 strokes on the 6,008 Tannenhuaf layout.  Westminster (Pa.) College was the champion with 341 strokes.

In addition to Schatschneider, junior Academic All-OAC golfer Rachel Sladky (North Olmsted) and sophomore Kelly Linnabary (Westerville/Central) each carded round of 89.  Senior Academic All-OAC golfer Emily Hunt (Marysville) posted a round of 91.  Rounding out the the top five was senior Hannah Durst (Madison) with a round of 107. 

Playing as individuals were junior Academic All-OAC golfer Aubrey Baumler (Huron), sophomore Mary Fraley (Cleveland/Mayfield) and freshman Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk/St. Paul).

Baumler led the individuals with a career-low round of 99. Fraley posted a career-low round of 113.  Olak had a career-best round of 126.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15 when they travel to Hudson to compete in the John Carroll University Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson.
