Four Women's Golfers Chip on Academic All-OAC Team

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Four Baldwin Wallace University women's golf student-athletes have been named to the 2020 Spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Junior Aubrey Baumler (Huron), senior Emily Hunt (Marysville), junior senior Anna Schatschneider (Avon) and junior Rachael Sladky (North Olmsted) are four of the 45 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this spring.

Baumler, who earns her second straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is a Spanish and political science double major who carries a 3.78 GPA. She is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and the 2017-18 recipient of the BW Academic Excellence Award for having the highest GPA on the women's golf team. In her career, Baumler has played in 21 invitationals and 25 rounds.  She has a 112.96 career stroke average.  Baumler shot a career-low round of 99 at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational this season.

Hunt, who garners her third career Academic All-OAC honor, is a health coaching and promotion major that carries a 3.625 GPA.  She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society. Hunt appeared in 39 career invitationals and 53 rounds.  She had a career stroke average of 97.40.  Hunt carded a career-low round of 86 at the BW Fall Invitational on September 1, 2019. 

Schatschneider, who earns her second Academic All-OAC accolade, is a health and physical education major that carries a 3.757 GPA. She is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society,  Schatschneider, who transferred from Ashland University, is an All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer that has appeared in 11.5 career invitationals and 19 rounds.  She had a career stroke average of 85.89.  She has led the team in stroke average for the past two seasons and her 87.46 average in 2018-19 ranks 22nd all-time in school history.  Schatschneider is a two-time OAC Women's Golfer of the Week and two-time Medalist.  She fired a career-low round of 78 at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational on September 8, 2019. 

Sladky, who garners her second straight Academic All-OAC honor, is an English major who carries a 3.917 GPA. She is a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honoraries. In her career, Sladky has appeared in 25 invitationals and 32 rounds.  She has 95.03 career stroke average.  Sladky shot a career-low round of 85 on two occasions with the last coming at the BW Fall Invitational this season.
