Men's Tennis Suffers First Loss of Season, Falls to Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team traveled to the Otterbein Tennis Courts to take on Otterbein University. The match's final score was 0-9 in favor of Otterbein.  

Singles Play (0-6) 

  • All-OAC Sophomore Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) fell to  Brandon Wall, 1-6, 3-6 

  • Freshman Will Horvath (Oregon / Clay) fell to Joshua Mammen, 2-6, 4-6 

  • All-OAC Senior Trey Kernan (Penfield, N.Y.) fell to Jake McDivitt, 2-6, 2-6 

  • Sophomore Adam Zeidler (Bay Village) fell to Jamie Price, 3-6, 2-6 

  • Freshman Jacob Weingart (Tiffin / Columbian) fell to Will Newberry, 1-6, 3-6 

  • Freshman Gavin Binni (Sylvania / Northview) fell to Boban Mihajov, 3-6, 1-6 

Doubles Play (0-3) 

  • McGee and Kernan dropped to Wall/Price in a heartbreaker, 7-8 (3-7) 

  • Horvath and Zeidler were defeated by Mammen/McDivitt, 3-8 

  • Sophomore Caleb Reed (Wilmington) and Weingart fell to Newberry/Shook 5-8 

BW (14-1) looks to get back in the win column Monday, April 17, when they host Ohio Northern at the Pop Tennis Courts at 3:30 p.m.
