MEDINA, Ohio. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team kicked off conference play with a victory over the Marietta Pioneers at the Paramount Tennis Club. The final score of the match was a clean 9-0 sweep.
Singles Play (6-0)
- All-Ohio Athletic Conference sophomore Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) defeated Elivh Perez, 6-0, 6-2
- Freshman Will Horvath (Oregon / Clay) defeated Elijah Kuhl, 6-1, 6-0
- All-OAC senior Trey Kernan (Penfield, N.Y.) defeated Evan Barker, 6-1, 6-0
- Sophomore Adam Zeidler (Bay Village) defeated Spencer Hall, 6-2, 6-4
- Freshman Jacob Weingart (Tiffin / Columbian) defeated David Frazier, 6-0, 6-0
- Freshman Gavin Binni (Sylvania / Northview) defeated George Fazah, 6-1, 6-0
Doubles Play (3-0)
- McGee and Kernan defeated Kuhl/ Barker, 8-4
- Horvath and Zeidler defeated Perez/ Hall, 8-3
- Sophomore Caleb Reed (Wilmington) and Weingart defeated Frazier/ Fazah 8-0
BW (13-0) returns to action on Wednesday, April 12, when they travel to Alliance to face Mount Union on Whitehill Courts at 3:30 p.m.
