Men's Soccer Falls to Wooster

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team fell short to The College of Wooster in a non-conference game by a final score of 1-0 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW Leaders (3-4-1)

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Sam Cipriano (Massillon / Jackson) recorded three saves
  • Senior forward Julian Kieres (Lakewood) made three shots with two on goal

Wooster Leaders (3-3-2)

  • Junior midfielder Max Wiley scored the unassisted game-winning goal at the 52:24 mark
  • Senior goalkeeper Gabriel Thomas made two saves with both on goal

First Half 

  • BW won the corner kick battle by a 2-1 margin
  • Wooster made two saves with both on goal
  • The Yellow Jackets outshot Wooster 8-3

Second Half 

  • Wooster outshot the Yellow Jackets 6-3
  • The Yellow Jackets and Wooster each had two corner kicks
  • BW made the only two saves of period two

BW returns to action on Saturday, September 23 for a non-conference road game against Defiance College on Winsper-Knobel Memorial Field at 3 p.m.
