Men's Soccer Shuts Out Heidelberg

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team defeated Heidelberg University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 5-0 on the Mayer Field inside Hoernemann Stadium.

BW Leaders (7-7-2, 3-2-1 OAC) 
  • Senior forward Julian Kieres (Lakewood) scored two unassisted goals, one in each half
  • Senior forward Michael Tusick (Strongsville) scored a goal in the first half, assisted by sophomore midfielder Ben McCauley (Tallmadge)
Heidelberg Leaders (3-11-1, 0-6 OAC)
  • Freshman goalkeeper Bradshaw Uhlmann recorded seven saves
  • Senior forward Hussein Faraj made five shots with one on goal
 First Half 
  • The Yellow Jackets outshot Heidelberg 14-3
  • Heidelberg recorded four saves
  • Sophomore midfielder Mathew Skladany (Cleveland / St. Edward) scored an unassisted goal
 Second Half  
  • BW outshot Heidelberg 10-5
  • Heidelberg won the corner kick battle by a 3-0 margin 
  • Freshman forward Jacob Frank (Dublin / Coffman) scored an unassisted goal

BW is back in action for Seniors' Day on Saturday, Oct. 21 when it hosts Otterbein University for an OAC contest on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium at 2 p.m.
