BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team defeated Muskingum University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 6-1 on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium.
BW Leaders (6-7-2, 2-2-1 OAC)- Freshman defender Ben Mihalek (Hudson) scored the first two goals of his collegiate career in the first half
- Junior forward Evan Scott (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) scored a goal in the second half, assisted by freshman forward Owen Huzicka (Gahanna / Lincoln)
Muskingum Leaders (3-10-1, 1-4 OAC)
- Senior forward Mahfuz Yakubu scored a goal in the second half
- Freshman goalkeeper Logan Caplinger recorded five saves
First Half
- The Yellow Jackets outshot Muskingum 13-1
- Muskingum recorded five saves
- BW won the corner kick battle by a 5-0 margin
Second Half
- The Yellow Jackets made four corners on Muskingum's one
- Muskingum and BW each recorded two saves
- The Yellow Jackets outshot Muskingum 7-5
BW is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 18 as it travels to Heidelberg University for an OAC contest on Hidden Valley Soccer Complex at 4 p.m.
