Men's Soccer Falls to Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team fell to Wilmington College in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 4-0 on the Townsend Field inside Williams Stadium.

BW Leaders (5-6-2, 1-1-1 OAC)
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Sam Cipriano (Massillon / Jackson) recorded four saves
  • Senior forward Julian Kieres (Lakewood) made three shots with two on goal
Wilmington Leaders (2-7-2, 1-1-1 OAC)
  • Freshman defender William Jansson scored two goals in the first half
  • Freshman forward Gavin Morningstar scored the final goal of the game in the second half
 First Half 
  • The Yellow Jackets and Wilmington had nine shots each
  • Wilmington won the corner kick battle by a 5-1 margin
  • BW and Wilmington each made three saves
 Second Half  
  • BW made four corners on Wilmington's one
  • Wilmington and the Yellow Jackets had six shots each
  • The Yellow Jackets and Wilmington each made one save

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 11 when they host John Carroll University for an OAC contest on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium at 7 p.m.
