BW Women’s Tennis Team Loses to Lake Forest (Ill.)

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team lost to Lake Forest (Ill.) College, 7-2, today in the final of six matches on its annual Spring Break Trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The Yellow Jackets, now 4-7 overall, trailed 2-1 after doubles play as the number No.3 tandem of senior Whitney Yoder (Medina) and freshman Claire Watts (Medina) won, 8-2, to improve to 3-2 overall. In singles action, Yoder had BW's lone win at No.6 by the scores of 6-4 and 6-3 as she improved to 3-5 overall.


BW opens northern play this Friday when it travels to Gambier, Ohio to play Kenyon College in a nonleague match at 6:00 p.m. The Jackets open 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday, March 22 at Capital University at 1:00 p.m. BW plays its first home match on Saturday, March 29 when it hosts OAC-rival Marietta College at the "Pop" Collins Courts in Berea at 1:00 p.m.
