BW Women’s Tennis Team loses to Ohio Wesleyan

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team loses to traditional rival Ohio Wesleyan University, 5-4, today in a dual match at the "Pop" Collins Courts.
 
With its loss, BW is 7-15 overall. With its, win, OWU is 7-13 overall.

The Battling Bishop led 2-1 after doubles play as the number one duo of sophomore Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) and senior Morgan Baker (Vermilion / Elyria Catholic) won, 8-4.

In singles action, No.1 player Blatt won, 6-3 and 6-4. No.3 player freshman Claire Watts (Medina) won, 6-3 and 6-3. No. 6 player senior  Whitney Yoder (Medina) won, 6-0 and 6-1.

The Yellow Jacket women are back in action on Tuesday, April 29 with the first round of the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament with the OAC Final Four taking place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio on May 2-3. The winner of the OAC Tournament advances to the NCAA Division III National Tournament. The BW women have won two of the past four OAC titles and advanced to two of the last four national tourneys.
