BW Women’s Tennis Team Loses to Spring Arbor
HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team lost to NAIA foe Spring Arbor (Mich.) University, 5-4, today in the fourth of six matches on its annual Spring Break Trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. Later today the Yellow Jackets play NCAA Division II Fairmont State (W.Va.) University at 3:00 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets, now 3-6 overall, trailed 2-1 after doubles play as the number two duo of sophomores Mackenzi Baker (Vermilion/ Elyria Catholic) and Mackenzie Donalson (Hilliard/ Davidson) won, 8-6.

In singles action, The Cougars and Yellow Jackets split six matches. Winning for BW were sophomore No.1 player Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) by the scores of 1-6, 7-5 and 10-8, freshman No.3 player Claire Watts (Medina/ Senior) by the scores 6-0 and 6-1, and Donalson won at No.4 by default.

Following their match this afternoon versus Fairmont State, the Yellow Jackets end their spring schedule in Hilton Head tomorrow, Wednesday, March 12 when they play Division III Lake Forest (Ill.) College at 6:00 p.m.

BW opens Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday, March 22 at Capital University at 1:00 p.m. The Yellow Jackets play their first home match on Saturday, March 29 when it hosts OAC-rival Marietta College at the "Pop" Collins Courts in Berea at 1:00 p.m.
