BW Women’s Tennis Drops Non-Conference Match at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match to The College of Wooster by a final of 7-2 at the D.J. Hard Tennis Courts.

BW (7-14) closes out the regular season this Wednesday, April 23 when it hosts Ohio Wesleyan University on the "Pop" Collins Courts at 4 p.m.  Wooster (7-11) has now won two straight matches.

The Yellow Jackets got their two victories from the number two doubles team and third single.   The doubles team of junior Mackenzi Baker (Vermilion/Elyria Catholic) and sophomore Mackenzie Donaldson (Hilliard/Davidson) defeated the duo of Catherine Boyles and Rose Chiumento by a score of 8-6.

Freshman Claire Watts (Medina) picked up her eighth victory of the season at third singles and 10th victory overall as she defeated Kimberly Carter in three sets by scores of 1-6, 6-2 and 6-1. 

The 2014 OAC Tournament begins April 29 with the OAC Final Four taking place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio on May 2-3. The winner of the OAC Tournament advances to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
