ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Biology/ Pre-Medicine

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION INFORMATION: Nathan Katz played his third season of men's tennis at Baldwin Wallace University 2015-2016. The two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete earned his third varsity letter. 

ACADEMIC HONORS: Nathan carries a 3.688 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. He also is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.

ACADEMIC ALL-OAC HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2014-2015 nd junior in 2015-2016, Nathan earned Academic All-OAC honors.

ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2014-2015 and junior in 2015-2016, Nathan earned ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar Athlete honors.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Nathan earned Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors on March 3, 2015.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Nathan played his first season of tennis and earned his first varsity letter. He started at number five singles and compiled a 17-9 record, including a 12-5 mark at No.5 and a 5-3 slate against OAC opponents. He also had a 4-1 doubles mark. BW finished 19-4 overall.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Nathan played his second season of tennis and earned his second varsity letter. He starts at No.3 singles and No.2 doubles. Nathan compiled a 13-12 mark in singles and combined with fellow sophomore Jake Liebler '17 to compile a 14-9 slate in doubles. He earned OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors on March 3, 2015 for his efforts in a dual match sweep of Penn State Behrend (Pa.) and Washington & Jefferson (Pa.). He earned Academic All-OAC and ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. BW finished 15-6 overall.

As a junior in 2015-2016, Nathan played his third season of tennis and earned his third letter. He started at No.5 singles and alternated in doubles. Nathan had a career-high 24 wins and a 24-4 singles mark, including an 18-3 slate at No.5. He alternated with a pair of doubles partners for a 6-4 record. For his efforts both in the classroom and on the tennis court, Nathan earned his second Academic All-OAC honor and was tabbed as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the second straight season. Nathan helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 24-5 overall and 7-1 OAC regular season mark and place second at the 2016 OAC Tournament.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Nathan Katz grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Bexley High School.

In tennis, Nathan earned two varsity letters, earned All-Ohio Capital Conference honors as a junior and senior and served as a team captain.
