BEREA, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving teams look to continue its building process in 2015-16.

Head Coach Laura Wolff-Demaline, who begins her fifth season, returns seven letterwinners and two Ohio Athletic Conference performers to the men's squad that went 4-9 overall and 1-4 in the OAC a year ago.

Headlining the men's team is a pair of All-OAC performers in junior Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) and sophomore Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights / Brecksville-Broadview Hts.).  Burk, who has earned five All-OAC honors, set personal records in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.24 and in the 500-yard freestyle crossing the finish line in 4:49.85. Thompson earned his first All-OAC honor and set a school record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.59 at the OAC Championships last season.

In addition to Burk and Thompson, the men return veteran swimmers in seniors Henry Hammond (Cleveland Heights), Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill. / Hinsdale South), Sean Rudolph Jr. (Warrensville Heights), and junior Taylor Elgart (Shaker Heights).

Returning sophomore Da'Qeayce Swain (Dayton / David H. Ponitz) swam last season, but is going to be diving for the Yellow Jackets this season. The men also added freshman diver Jon Levin.

Tyler Allison
(Napoleon), John Beyer (Columbus/Centennial), Kevin Hartenstein (Hermitage, Pa. / Hickory), Alexander Morrow (Winchester, Va.), James Philbrick (Mundelein, Ill.), and Cameron O'Brein (Toledo) all look to make a splash in their freshman season at BW.

BW begins their 2015-16 campaign on Saturday, October 24 when they host a OAC dual meet against Wilmington College in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 1 p.m.   The very next day the Yellow Jackets will host a non-conference dual meet against Ohio Wesleyan University at 12 p.m.
