Men's Swimming and Diving Loses at Penn State-Behrend (Pa.)

ERIE, Pennsylvania—The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team loses at Penn State Behrend (Pa.) College in a non-conference dual meet inside of the Junker Center.

The men's swimming and diving team was defeated by a score of 130-80.

Leading the way for the Yellow Jacket men were sophomore All-OAC swimmer Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and junior All-OAC freestyler Jacob Burk (Bowling Green).

Thompson finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke in a season-best time of 59.31. Burk touched the wall in a time of 5:10.85 to finish first in the 500-yard freestyle.

In addition, freshman freestyler Alex Morrow (Winchester, Va.) placed second in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 59.03 and second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:55.67. Freshman freestyler Kevin Hartenstein (Hermitage, Pa./ Hickory) finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:11.62 and second in the 500-yard freestyle in a career-best time of 5:15.41. Senior swimmer Sean Rudolph, Jr. (Warrensville Heights) placed second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.24.

In relay action, the 400-yard freestyle relay team of freshman freestyler Tyler Allison (Napoleon), freshman freestyler John Beyer (Columbus/Centennial), Hartenstein and senior freestyler Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill. / Hinsdale South) picked up the victory in a time of 3:36.57. The 400-yard medley relay team of Morrow, Rudolph, Jr., Thompson and Allison hit the wall in a time of 3:50.26 to place first.

BW travels to Alliance, Ohio on Friday, November 20 for an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet against Mount Union University inside the Hammond Natatorium at 6 p.m.
